Detroit Day 2: Riverwalk

I started the second day in Detroit by going right to downtown where the beautiful Renaissance building stood and the Detroit river flowed in between the boarder of America and Canada. As I only arrived into this city at twilight on the first day, I spent the night eating at Fishbones and relaxing at the hotel after buying few beers at the local convenient store (something you can't do in Ontario). I did come out at night, but I 'wussed' out as I was a little frightened.. at the night sight of Detroit….

When I did step out at night, the scenes were pretty unreal as I felt like I was watching the movie 8 Mile. Most of the cars that I saw at night were one of those super souped-up vintage cars that had DOPE trunk mounted stereos and over-sized tires. It was actually like watching a music video of some kind. You would NEVER see something like that in Toronto (yes, straight up-we're not gangster enough)

If that was my 'night scene' the day scene was very contradicting as the city was busy with business men and countless GMC Yukons and Cadillac Escalades…. And that I just assumed it was because of their huge GM RenCen…?

When I arrived at the RenCen, I grabbed a coffee from Starbucks and sat by the Detroit Riverwalk just sunbathing and looking at the scenery. Just, perfect.
